Original casting is Benedict as the Creature. Reverse casting is Benedict as Victor Frankenstein - JLM as the Creature.
Have you seen our Frankenstein competition to win tickets to see a screening of your choice with NT Live?
Well, we’re aware that a lot of fans may have already booked tickets for both screenings when they were first announced. And we didn’t want you to feel left out.
The incredibly generous people at NT Live are also offering 5 huge Frankenstein posters featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller as prizes for our competition. These incredibly rare posters were created to advertise the play when it was performed at the NT. You can’t buy these anywhere. They’re a real rarity. Posters can be sent worldwide.
To enter our contest simply send an e-mail to contact@benedictcumberbatch.co.uk telling us what the chance to see Frankenstein with NT Live means to you. Please indicate in your e-mail whether you are entering for one of the 4 tickets available or, if you already have your tickets, a poster. (If you’re already entered just send me a follow up email).
We want to hear your Frankenstein stories. Are you going on a perilous journey to see a screening? Did you meet your best mate through Frankenstein? Are you studying Frankenstein at school? Do you just find Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller ridiculously good looking? They don’t have to be tales of woe. They can be as quirky and funny as you like.
You’ve got until 5 June 2012 to enter so start sending me your Frankenstein stories!
[Brent Spiner]: My family and I went to London in New years, and we were eating at a restaurant with Patrick (Stewart) called The Ivy, which is an amazing place. It is a threatre restaurant. People have been going there since Noel Coward and Olivier. And we saw Benedict Cumberbatch across the room!
*pause for audience cheer*
[Matt Mira]: Oh, that’ll get a room going.
[Chris Hardwick]: Such an amazing actor
[Jonah Hill]: *at a girl’s reaction to Benedict’s name* Your face is amazing!
[Matt]: She just Cumberbatched!
[Brent]: That is undoubtedly the biggest reaction I got so far today.
[Brent] So, we saw BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH across the room. He was sitting with Eddie Redmayne. I don’t know if you know Eddie. Anyway, Benedict saw Patrick and myself and he came over to the table and said,
“I have to talk to you.”
And Patrick said, “All right…call me.”
He said, “No no, I have to talk to you NOW.”
Patrick said, “What is it?”
“I’ve just agreed to do the new Star Trek movie.”
“No, really?”
Then he said “Well, is it going to damage my career?”
I said, “Let me tell you something, Benedict. You’ll never work again after this.”
A bubble and squeak came out of his mouth and I don’t know what that is. But they serve it at the Ivy.

London Olympics 2012: Danny Boyle’s Opening Ceremony Inspired By FRANKENSTEIN
Who would have thought that a theatrical project on The National’s stage more than a year ago would be the ingredients for an Olympic opening ceremony! That’s at least what Danny Boyle, Frankenstein Director and Olympic Artistic Director tells Vogue, stating…
“(There is) quite a lot of Frankenstein in the show. I mean, we don’t reanimate dead creatures, but we did use Frankenstein as a dry run for a lot of ideas for this.”
So could we say that Frankenstein is the prequel to the Olympic games? If so, you can catch our broadcast this June prior to the 27 July opening ceremony and get a taste of what’s to come. And the Olivier-winning performances by Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller aren’t bad either.

Photos of Benedict Cumberbatch at the Sherlock photocall.
Oh Benedict look at your face! He and Matt were by far the best presenters on the night - they went down really well in the hall.
